Discovering Hidden Blessings within Life's Challenges
Navigating complications or challenges in life can be difficult. We focus on just making it through these circumstances. Yet, we are missing something. What are we not seeing? Bold Possibilities. Hidden blessings waiting to move our life forward to new beginnings. Are we bold enough to step towards discovering them?
I learned key lessons to discover hidden blessings and unexpected opportunities that emerged from the challenges I faced through separation and divorce. They inspired me to start moving forward after a loss to start a new life. I share those lessons with you in my new book,
Moving Forward with Bold Uncertainty.
What amazes me is seeing all the hidden blessings being gently shown to me with each step forward I take. They instill in me the bold courage to go after possibilities I would never have imagined. Through my blog posts, I share my personal reflections hoping they will inspire you to discover your own bold possibilities.
All my life I have captured wise sayings, quotes, and scripture verses offering me encouragement, wisdom, and inspiration. I've created a photo gallery of these sayings with the hope that they may inspire you to continue to remain strong and confident in the life you have imagined for yourself, desire to have, and want to lead.
While spending 30+ years working in the corporate world, my heart centered on one-to-one caregiving, facilitating support groups, leading caregiving teams, mentoring, and speaking at women’s conferences.
I have extensive experience in congregational, community, and individual care, including 10 years as a certified Stephen Leader and Stephen Minister; two years as a church staff director of congregational care; eight years as a small group facilitator for care ministries; and two years as a discipleship associate lay leader. As a graduate of the two-year Upper Room Academy for Spiritual Formation, I developed a series of SoulFocus classes covering topics on faith pathways, serving with purpose, and living with balance and priorities.
A retired life coach, I received my board certification as an Advanced Christian Life Coach from the International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA), a division of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) with additional certifications in spiritual formation, divorce, financial planning, and coaching for women.
Now I'm a fully-retired empty nester, enjoying writing, photography, crafts, woodworking, walking, gardening, listening to country music, being outside in nature, especially time at the beach and at cabin retreats.
Collecting wise sayings, quotes, and scripture verses fill numerous journals of mine over the years. This was the start of my journey to becoming an author. My own struggles of separation and divorce, led me to finding so many unexpected opportunities and discovering hidden blessings waiting for me. Seeing and claiming them led me to where I now -- living a life where I am at peace, content, safe, secure, protected, and love. My desire is to help you uncover your own hidden possibilities and blessings to experience that same peace and contentment.
